Imagine Family Child Care is licensed by the state of Wisconsin, Department of Children and Families to provide care for up to 8 children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years. I am inspected regularly to ensure that I meet licensing standards. I am located in Darboy in the Kimberly area school district with the bus stop for Sunrise Elementary right at my house. I am open from 6:45am until 4:30pm Monday through Friday all year round.
Play
Children learn to play, and play to learn. Play is not just for distraction, it's not something to keep them busy or to take up time, play is a child's life. Play IS learning, a child's work! Because of it's important role in development, play is the major component of our program. It helps children by building language skills, encouraging social interactions,
and preparing them for future learning. We focus on learning through independent and guided play, and interacting
with others. These ideas are incorporated throughout our daily activities, which are directed by the interests of the children. And with our family environment, we have the flexibility we need to keep things relaxed, personal, and fun.
